When will Major League Baseball come to their senses and move the Montreal Expos to Washington, DC. And when I say Washington, DC, I do not mean Northern Virginia. It now looks like the Expos will be traveling once again between Puerto Rico and Montreal next year. Baltimore keeps complaining that this will hurt attendance. As someone who use to go to 15 games a year in Baltimore (Memorial Stadium and Camden Yards), I can say that the reason people don't go up to Baltimore anymore is that it is impossible to make these 7:00 starts with all the traffic on the Beltway and up 95.
Meanwhile in Oregon, the state in awful financial crisis, just passed a stadium finance plan. When will these cities and states figure out that they should stop building these arenas and stadiums. I am sick and tired of public financed stadiums.
Then, when these owners get into the stadiums, they charge sky-high prices for food and tickets. This is the biggest reason that baseball is a dieing. The owners now only care about their corporate clients in the high-priced boxes.
