The Washington Metro system is a total mess. Escalators are broken and out of service on a daily basis, trains run late, and they keep raising the fares. There is no one taking any responsibility for the system. I am getting tired of the over-crowding trains.
It has now become so expensive to take Metro, that there really is no price difference in driving. This is a sad commentary on public transportation.
